Sometimes Impact Doesn’t Come With a Salary

During my plus examination period, I did something I will never forget.

For about 6 months, I taught Mathematics as a volunteer teacher at Balhit High School, Chaurjahari Municipality-14, Sakchakhola, West Rukum.

The school was going through a teacher shortage.

And in a rural area, that does not just mean a missing teacher.
It means delayed learning.
It means fewer answers.
It means students silently falling behind.

So I stepped in.

I taught classes 8 to 10.
Arithmetic.
Algebra.
Geometry.
Trigonometry.

But more than formulas, I tried to teach confidence.

Some students were learning complex topics for the first time.
Some needed extra time.
Some needed simpler explanations.
Some just needed someone to believe they could do it.

That experience changed me.

It taught me patience.
It taught me empathy.
It taught me how powerful education becomes when it reaches the right hands.

And it reminded me of something important:

You do not always need a title to make an impact.
Sometimes, you just need to show up where you are needed most.

I am grateful I got the chance to serve a community that taught me as much as I taught it.
